Replace your failed iPod video hard drive with a solid state drive. Step 2 – plug it in and let iTunes open up. Just do a restore, and it should work. If step 2 didn’t work, follow the steps here to restart the iPod in to ‘Disk Mode’ step 3 – turn on and off the hold switch, step 4 – press and hold the select and menu buttons until it restarts step 5 -press and hold the select and play buttons, and it’ll boot into ‘Disk Mode’. Go back to step 2.
